WSR-030-003 a 30mm diameter 3mm thick Sapphire window and WSR-030-0005 a 30mm diameter 0.5mm thick Sapphire window

Sapphire Windows are ideal for demanding applications due to their, high thermal conductivity, extreme surface hardness and their resistance to attack from acids and alkalis. Second only to Diamond, Sapphire is an extremely hard crystal and due to the structural strength sapphire windows can be much thinner than other commonly used windows with an improvement in transmission. Al2O3 has a transmission range from 0.2 - 5.5μm. ( 200nm to 5500nm)

Sapphire windows can be used for Sensors and Detectors, viewing ports, cover lenses, cover windows, sapphire pressure windows, vacuum sapphire windows, oil view ports, gas view ports

Sapphire Optical Windows offer

  • Extreme Surface Hardness with high Chemical Resistance
  • Used for Wavelengths Ranging From Ultravoilet (UV) to Mid-Infrared
  • Stronger and thinner than Standard Optical Glass Windows
